What We Do.
We specialize in the sale and financing of automotive towing equipment, industrial hauling solutions and service bodies, including a wide variety of new and used tow trucks, wreckers, industrial and car carriers, multi-car haulers, industrial trailers and related equipment. Based in New Hampton, Iowa — Zip's AW Direct has a modern 95,000 square foot facility consisting of warehousing, shop area, sales offices, retail parts department, large enclosed blast room and four environmentally-approved downdraft paint rooms.
We opened a second branch in Taylor, Michigan (by the Detroit Metro Airport) in March 2012. This location features a complete parts and accessory showroom, body upfit service department, in-stock new and used equipment, and in-house financing.
We provide quality truck body installation, paint and repair of hydraulic, mechanical or electrical systems. We have the ability and the know-how to match the right body with the right chassis and assemble and paint the unit to the highest quality standards.

Service Department.
Zip's AW Direct has two full-service departments: one located in New Hampton, Iowa, and another in Taylor, Michigan. The New Hampton location performs all body installations and paint work. Both Iowa and Michigan have the capacity to repair hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems, and they can accommodate immediate scheduling for break down repairs.
